I believe great finance leadership is not about managing numbers — it is about building the systems, people, and culture that make organisations resilient enough to thrive through change.

I don't manage from a distance — I embed, understand, diagnose, and work alongside teams to build what lasts.

The Philosophy

A Leader Who Builds, Not Just Manages

I am a finance professional who has spent two decades not just running numbers, but building the organisations behind them.

Through roles across Big 4, growth-stage technology companies, and CFO assignments at high-growth startups, I have always operated at the intersection of financial rigour and operational ambition. My leadership is defined not by the titles I've held, but by the functions I have built, the teams I have grown, and the transformations I have guided — quietly, thoroughly, and with lasting effect.

Depth over breadth

Going beyond reporting to understand root causes and drive structural change.

People first

Organisations transform only when the people within them do. I invest in teams.

Systems thinking

Seeing how Finance, Ops, HR and Legal interconnect — and aligning them deliberately.

Honest counsel

Leadership means speaking truth to decisions that matter, even when it's uncomfortable.

What I Do Now

Guiding Organisations
Through Transformation

After two decades of building finance functions from the ground up, I have crossed over from running the numbers to architecting the systems, cultures, and disciplines that make organisations genuinely stronger.

My transformation practice brings deep functional expertise across Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations. I help leadership teams redesign processes, establish robust controls, drive automation, and align cross-functional operations to global standards. I don't consult from the outside — I embed within the organisation, understand the culture, identify the real friction, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with teams to deliver change that holds.

Career Journey

20 Years in Four Chapters

A career defined not by a list of employers, but by four distinct phases of growth — each building on the last, each expanding what was possible.

I2005 – 2012

The Craft

Forged at the Big 4

Seven years in Assurance at one of the world's leading professional services firms. I learned the discipline of financial rigour — managing statutory audits for listed entities, guiding complex accounting decisions, and developing the meticulous instinct that every strong CFO is built on.

  • Managed two listed entities simultaneously, within budget
  • Guided clients through complex reporting and accounting challenges
  • Built deep cross-industry expertise across audits and due diligence
II2013 – 2019

The Builder

Scaling Finance from Zero

A pivotal decade spent building finance organizations from the ground up inside fast-growing technology companies. Treasury, Tax, and Controllership functions — architected, staffed, and made world-class. Global expansions. Systems implementations. Family office management.

  • Built Treasury & Tax from scratch; delivered 200 bps above targets
  • Led ERP implementation and multiple automation drives
  • Expanded finance operations across 4 international geographies
III2019 – 2023

The CFO

Owning the P&L

Stepping into the CFO's chair across high-growth organizations — from unicorn logistics to early-stage startups. Owned the full P&L, led Series fundraising, drove path-to-profitability, and built Controllership functions from scratch. This chapter tested and sharpened every instinct.

  • Reduced cash burn by 40% through restructuring
  • Critical role in Series E fundraising — legal and financial due diligence
  • Made contribution-positive across multiple organizations
IV2024 – Present

The Transformer

Architecting Lasting Change

The current and most purposeful chapter — deploying two decades of accumulated expertise to help organisations navigate pivotal transformations. Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations aligned to global standards. Not advising from outside — embedding within, understanding the culture, and driving change that holds.

  • Standardised contract pricing & project controls to eliminate revenue leakage
  • Designed manpower analytics covering cost, attrition & performance
  • Guided Legal function in building global playbook and implementing CLM
